What we are planning

In order to support our children, school and community this year we raise funds to supplement the school budget – specifically for school-wide workshops like drumming and hip hop, life skills like swimming, as well as classroom specific experiential learning and field trips.

Fall Fundraising 2023

Purdy’s Chocolates: this school-wide sale of chocolate bars (dark, milk and crispy) is a major fundraiser that goes towards the student experience (field trips and experiential learning).

Christmas Chocolates: place your personal orders for chocolates online though our account and a portion of the sales goes towards the school. Online ordering will open in November with order pick up at the school planned for early December.

Year Round Fundraising

Popcorn Sales: monthly, along with parent volunteers, we coordinate the making and distribution of bags of popcorn. Sales will be advertised in advance and bags of popcorn sell for $1/bag.

Pizza Days: we host a pizza sale every few months. Pizza & drinks are pre-ordered.

Refundables: drop off refundable drink containers at one of four depots listed below and the money will go toward the school.

Bag your unsorted refundable drink containers (no milk containers) into clear or blue bags and drop off at one of the Recycle depots below. Print a label at the depot with the school phone number (604 296 9029) for each bag.

Drop off at these bottle depots:

  • Lee’s Bottle Depot 7385 Buller Ave Burnaby
  • Sapperton Return It Depot Unit 21 79 Braid Street New West
  • North Road Return it Depot 435 North Road Coquitlam
  • Metrotown Return it Depot 4760 Imperial Street Burnaby

If you are not able to drop them off, contact Gayle Beavil (gayle.beavil@burnabyschools.ca) to arrange pick up.

Donations: donate directly through Cash Online at any time. If you are looking to make more impact, in addition to, or instead of the above fundraisers, we welcome it. No minimum donation, however, you can request a tax receipt for donations greater than $25.
