Two classes from Second Street made it in the top 10 finalists for two different categories in the CBC Music Class Challenge!
From the article on the CBC website,
“The finalists have been revealed for the 2025 fall anniversary edition of the CBC Music Class Challenge powered by MusiCounts.
As a reminder, here are the prizes available for the following categories. The first-place winners will receive $2,000 in new musical instruments from MusiCounts, and first, second and third place winners will receive plaques.”
Ms. Eng’s class, Division 8, are in the top 10 finalists for Category 1: Elementary Performance, Vocal or Instrumental (kindergarten to grade 3) for their rendition of ‘Scars to Your Beautiful’ by Alessia Cara
and Ms. Chan’s class, Division 5, are in the top 10 finalists for Category 2: Junior Instrumental (grades 4-6) for their performance of ‘Stitches‘ by Shawn Mendes.
