For the last month, our intermediate classes and some primary classes have been learning about the upcoming federal election. We are so excited to host a candidates’ debate this Thursday at our school.
The debate is a student-led event but parents and community members are welcome to attend as spectators. If you are eligible to vote on Oct. 21 and haven’t had a chance to make up your mind yet, this is a great opportunity to join your kids in meeting and hearing from our local candidates.
The debate will take place Thursday, Oct. 10 at 10:45-11:45 in the Second Street gym.
The students will follow this event up with a Student Vote mock election next week. Stay tuned to see who they elect!
