We would like to thank all of the students and staff who worked to make today’s virtual Remembrance Day assembly incredibly special. Thanks to Mr. TDS, students were able to demonstrate their musical talents and creativity. We had performances by many classes and students spoke of lessons they learned or read poems, including In Flanders Field Written by John McCrae.
In past years we have been honoured to have Vancouver’s Navy Veterans band play for us here at the school. Due to COVID restrictions and safety they were not able to join us this year. We were, however, able to have Mr. Larry Forbes, who is the Bandmaster of the Navy band play the Last Post and Reveille on the bugle for us. We thank him for that.
Please take a moment at 11:00 tomorrow morning to remember the men and women who have given so much so that we can have the lives we do in a place as beautiful as Canada.
