Welcome to 2020

Welcome back and welcome to a new year. We hope everyone had a great winter break filled with family and friends. The new year is going to start quickly with Hip Hop beginning this Thursday and culminating with a performance next Friday afternoon. Our intermediate students will be attending the next Young Peoples’ concert on Jan. 23. And the week of Jan. 27 is our Literacy week.

This time of year is not only a busy one, but it is also when we begin to see the weather take a turn for the worse. There is already a call for snow this week and the weather will be cold and wet for the next couple of months. Please remember that all students will be outside in most weather conditions, please dress them accordingly. We do have an undercover area that students can stay dry in, but most of the kids love getting outside and running around. It is a good idea to send an extra pair of sock or even pants for the more inclement days. We cannot have students staying inside as the supervision is outside. If your child is not able to go outside due to sickness, they should not be at school until they are healthy.

We have our first Community Council meeting of the year next Monday evening. It starts at 6:30 and child care is provided. Please come join us. The council is also hosting a bottle drive on Saturday,  January 18.
