Good Morning,
Today is going to be an exciting day as our students are going into their new classes for the year. Many of our classes are combined grade classes meaning that there are two grade levels in one class. Some parents are concerned about this structure and I want to assure everyone that teachers teach students not grades. With the shifts in the BC education curriculum over the last number of years teachers are no longer teaching grade level facts to be memorized but rather are teaching concepts and thinking skills that are universally transferable. Students are graded on grade level expectations and outcomes.
