What We’ve Been Up To

To give you an idea of what fundraising organized by our CPAC subsidizes, here are a few of the initiatives and events we have supported. If you are interested in providing input – come to our CPAC General Membership meetings.

Welcome Back BBQ – SEPTEMBER

  • It is a time to welcome everyone back to school with our first Council event—a BBQ!  Grab your neighbours, friends and family to join us for some delicious BBQ food.

Celebration of Indigenous Culture – OCTOBER

  • This is a celebration of the Aboriginal Culture through art, music, and performances.  Come out and enjoy a light dinner and entertainment.

Hallowe’en Fireworks – OCTOBER

  • This is an annual event where over 1000 community members gather around the fences of our school field to watch a spectacular pyrotechnical display on Hallowe’en Night.  We are always looking for helpers to assist with serving Hot Chocolate or assisting with Security.

Guru Nanak Birthday Celebration – NOVEMBER

  • This longstanding school-wide feast is hosted by our Sikh community in celebration of Guru Nanak’s Birthday.

Breakfast with Santa – DECEMBER

  • This community event typically runs on the 1stSaturday of December, and includes a hot pancake & sausage breakfast,entertainment, crafts, and a visit with you-know-who!  Tickets go on sale at the end of November.  Come join us for this fun-filled morning!

 

School-wide Pancake Breakfast – DECEMBER

  • On the last day of school before Winter Holidays, parents host a wonderful pancake breakfast for all of the students and staff in the school.

Celebration of Cultures Dinner – MARCH

  • This is a potluck dinner celebration filled with delicious food, lively music and dancing from around the world…it is a true celebration of our diverse and vibrant community!

Pioneer Tea – MAY

  • In appreciation of the seniors in our community, parent and students host a wonderful afternoon Tea for the seniors.  We always are looking for help from parents to help with the event.

Sports Day – MAY

  • Come help out in the Concession while you have a 360 degree view of the Sports Day events and excitement!
